Great job with the new place Al!  I hope all of the other members make it over.

I hope so too Ben! I'm really excited by all the new bells and whistles. While I liked the old place, I was getting bored with it as it was and felt a change was warranted. Without meaning to, I truly believe Forum Circle did us a big favor.

.Wow Allan, you work fast.

Place looks great.   Responding is easy.  Not sure how to post pics yet, still wandering around a bit, but they do look good with the just posted B-17 build.  I got a response to wait 7 days before posting a link when I tried a while ago.    The link I was using was to my photo bucket file.

it is working fine now

Retry it. i just changed one of the security settings and I think I fixed it for you.

Let me know.

Made it over. Nice set up, Allan!  I will try moving my Franklin Mint B17 thread over. Again, great work and thank you!

I am using the "classic" setting and it is very similar to the old forum, just with many new attributes.

Thanks again!

Tom

Tom,

Could you create a short tutorial thread explaining how to use the "classic" setting for those who might want to use it?

I'd appreciate it.

Allan

Nothing like that new forum smell is there? cheers I am looking forward to seeing how things change / progress. I'm very happy to see many of the "regulars" are switching over so quickly.

Very nice. Smile

I like the layout which makes much better use of space on a largish screen and it seems a little easier to read.

Thanks guys!  Like a new car, as you get used to it, it starts to grow on you.  Several guys (including myself) are starting to copy initial threads over.   I've copied many of the "general topic" threads and have a few more to go.

My personal "pmmaker" kit build initial threads are all transfered.  Now I've got to go get my die-cast threads and recreate them here.  A lot of work, but better than starting completely over.

Like I said on my other post I'd like to thank you also for keeping this group alive. I've transferred my major post but any word if the pics will stay visible once the old place shuts down?

Dave,

I think we will be okay. The old forum used an outside photo host that was linked to the forum. The links to the photo host are still valid. If we lose them we will have to reload them. This new forum also has an internal photo hosting capability. I have a tutorial for those who want to try it. No more thumbnails when you use it.
