Here are a couple 1/700 ships. One is a Motorworks diecast model of the USS Indianapolis. I used a cutting wheel to cut the hull and make it a waterline model. I repainted the ship with the proper camo colors.



Next is an old Tamyia 1/700 waterline kit of a IJN carrier, the "Unyo". I built this years ago, complete with all the planes on deck...

I must have missed this thread first time around. Those are some excellent ship models Tom, definitely inspiration for some naval builds. I especially like the 1/700 Japanese carrier.

I agree 100% SWEET BUILDS! yeah

Keep them coming! You are inspiring us to branch out into new areas. Planes are still number 1 for me, but like when I was a kid, building ship models offers a different experience and a welcome respite from building planes.

Thanks, guys. I always enjoyed the ship building. It was always planes, tanks and ships. I never was "car" guy though. I was never good with "glossy" hot rods!
