PostSubject: Avro Anson MkI 71st Squadron RAAF   Sun Feb 26 2017, 14:49

A recent purchase. Oxford Avro Anson MkI decked out in the Royal Australian Airforce colors, very similar to the Coastal Command colors from the Atlantic theater.

The 71st Squadron was based in Queensland, Australia from 1942 to 1944 where they used the Avros for anti submarine warfare and regular patrols.

This model is very nice. It has no crew and there is no machine gun in the bubble turret. I need to do a little research and find out about that.

I plan on installing a crew and aerial wire. More pictures soon...

Tom
