Thought I'd also check in as well and share a bit about myself.

I've been interested in aircraft for 50 years.  When I was 8, my parents bought me my first plastic kits: an Aurora Fokker D.VII and an Aurora Beechcraft C-45.  Once I built those, I was hooked.  Now 50 years and hundreds of aviation based kits, die-casts, toys, and books later, I still love airplanes.

I'm a casual and recreational builder and collector.  I love every model I own, warts and all.  I understand that every model has faults and inaccuracies, but I don't make complaining about them the focus of my hobby.  If something is wrong and it truly does bother me, I fix it.  If I can't fix it, then I accept it and move on.

My time on our forum is limited mostly to weekends, holidays, and the summer due to my work schedule as a school teacher.  I thoroughly enjoy sharing my thoughts and knowledge with members who share the same passion for planes and models that I do.

Thanks Tom. Smart ass  I plan to continue on just as I did on the old site. I'm going to try to get back into building ships again and I will still be building aircraft models.  Might even try a jet or two now that the forum has made the pivot away from just pre-1970 aircraft.

As always, I'm working on a new build which I hope to share this weekend.
