Guys,

To prevent a flood of questions:

1) Mike knows about this forum.

2) He knows he is always welcome to join - I was in contact with him before the old forum went off-line.

3) He's got things going on in life that require his full attention.

Allan

Thanks. Didn't mean to pry.

Just wondering about some friendly faces.

Thanks for posting that, Allan. I was just about to email him, but now I will step back and let Mike have his space.

It's okay to ask lemmings - we all miss Mike and other old friends from the TMWCF forum. I tried to contact as many guys as possible to let them know what was happening.

I hope Vincent (komodoma) finds his way here too.

SpectreNav (Mike) is one of the nicest, classiest guys on the forums....certainly in my time on the forums. He is without doubt the most positive forumite that I ever came across. He was one of those forumites that you wish you could meet face to face.

I was hoping to see him here.

I wish the man nothing but the very best and I hope we see him again.

Can't add anything more to what you said Christian. Mike mentioned flying in to Connecticut this summer to go to the New England Air Museum with me. I hope he can still make it.

I'd have to echo your quotes & observations.

A properly nice guy & seemingly liked (& missed) by one & all.

I found his "Sculthorpe" thread to be THE best thread ever, on our old forum.
(gutted it wasn't carried across ; so much info' lost as a result)

Am unsure as to what his difficulties are, but I wish him all the best.

I too miss Mike.  It's really not the same without him here - he brought a fresh, somewhat innocent perspective to the hobby that truly was refreshing. I too hope he is well.

I could not agree more, pmmaker. Great guy. But, as has been stated before, and I also personally know, he knows we are here, just has decided not to join up so far. Perhaps one of these days I will personally give him another invite.......without being obnoxious, hopefully!

Well if you ever speak to him in any form, pass on my well wishes.

Got an envelope from our buddy Mike Marra yesterday. He sent me a couple of old Airfix small box kits and a nice letter.

He's doing okay and he wanted to send his best to his friends on the forum. I sent him a return letter and hopefully I'll hear back from him.

He still wants to meet me for a trip to the New England Air Museum. So if everything works out, I'll get to finally meet him.
