Gasp... an airliner! Despite the F-RSIN name this is not a resin kit, but a regular injection-moulded plastic kit. The first couple of pics show what I had to deal with: crude mouldings, lots of flash, rough texture and strange blobs marring the surface. But, nothing that lots of filling and sanding couldn't deal with, followed by lots of re-scribing. I don't think it deserves to be in the 'Hall of Shame' thread, though: it's a short-run kit, I knew what I was getting into when I started it and I'm rather pleased with the end result considering its shortcomings.

This is really model-kit building porn. What a Face Gorgeous luster on the silver paint. I can't believe I'm lusting after a civil. Wink

Have to agree with Propwash, it's another beauty, nice touch with the Humbrol tinlet too. Strange looking aircraft though, not many double decker airliners from that period. Smile

Great looking plane. I always appreciate good prop driven airliner. The model company certainly has some issues with their molding process. Great save on this kit!

Haha, first time I've been accused of posting internet porn Shocked Laughing Glad you like the model, I've built quite a bit of civilian stuff over the years.

Thanks DCR. I find this aircraft so typically French – slightly odd and quirky, but quite beautiful too. Four were supplied to the French military for moving troops and equipment.
