I have no interest in Warhammer or gaming in general, but a friend bought me this kit and it was a relaxing distraction from aircraft. The kit went together really easily, and the chunky details were ideal for pin washes and dry-brushing. Based on the size of the figure I'd estimate it's about 1/48 scale. Great fun.

Man, is there anything you can't do? Lol. I am definitely not a sci-fi fan, but this is a cool looking model.

I dabbled in building and painting platoons and platoons of Flames Of War wargaming pieces. They are small, like 1/100 scale, but I built hundreds of them and never played the game. Very addicting.

Here is a German 88 I assembled, painted and based...about 2 1/2" x 1 1/2" base...

That's really cool Tom, especially considering the scale. I just had a look at their website and it looks like quite an extensive range, I see they even have aircraft.

I noticed some Italeri tanks in a hobby store yesterday, in 1/56 scale, which I'm guessing is another gaming scale.

Thanks Mike. I have mostly US and German tank platoons for the ETO, plus many Infantry and artillery pieces. I did a number of British Eighth Army stuff too. I didn't delve into any other wars or theaters as they have so many. I did only one aircraft, the L-4 Grasshopper for a friend that owned a real one.

I guess you can do gaming in any scale, although the smaller scales allow for more action and strategy.

Tom
