A re-release of an ancient fit-the-box-scale kit. Th kit was encrusted with rivets but once I'd sanded them off I discovered all the panel lines were recessed, and just needed sharpening up in places. Revell provided the white striping as decals but I didn't trust they'd fit/go down very well so the white areas were masked and painted. Random stencils were applied to busy it up a bit. For its age it's not a bad kit.

Nice, exact looking build. I have not considered this Missile yet, but this makes me rethink that. Interesting missile, being a intercontinental strategic weapon, bridging the gap between Bomber aircraft and developing IBCMs....

Sweet build of something rather out of the ordinary. And here we thought you were just an airplane kit pretty face! lol!

Nice job on an old kit. Just proves that just because a kt is old, it can still be a masterpiece if done with care and patience.

Thanks guys. I read an interesting article about one of these that was on a test flight, and all of its navigation and failsafe systems failed. By the time the AF had scrambled fighters to intercept it, it was way out of sight and heading into South America. They lost all trace of it, until a Brazilian farmer stumbled upon the wreckage in the jungle, 30 years later.

Another great and unusual build, Migrant. Do you know why the national insignia on the sides are canted? Make sense in the launcher, but what about in flight? Unless it flies in a slightly tail-down attitude. scratch

I have seen the missiles with both canted and inline stars and bars. They did fly in a slight tail down attitude, but I think the canted paintwork was the Airforce thing about making the craft look good on the ground...lol. I t probably depended on the local command preferences as to how they were painted.

Interesting to note that the missile used the typical technology of the time...boosters to get it airborne and up to speed and then a "ram jet" to carry it to the target. Much like the RAF Bloodhound...
