I'd never heard of this Ukrainian manufacturer before so I thought I'd give them a try. The UT-1 comes in a box of three kits, including a floatplane variant. The Yak UT-1 was small in real life, so it's tiny in this scale. The kits are necessarily simple, but PE parts are provided for struts and the upper-wing mounted machine guns on the fighter (although I replaced these with more substantial looking items). Tiny, but interesting subject additions to my growing 1/144 collection.

.... These are nice!! (and tiny; one needs to have good eye to make them)..

.... Found a diecast alternative once; a de Agostini model in 1/80-something scale (rather odd as the 1/72 wouldn t have hurt).

Amazing work on such a tiny subject! No wonder you excell with your builds. You have the fingers for the hobby. I have stubby sausages for fingers...lol.

Mike, I am in awe of the work you do. That is AMAZING for such small models!

Thanks guys Smile I must admit I do like 1/144 scale, it enables me to display more models per square inch of shelf space and it's nice to see the comparative size of, say, a F-4 with a modern airliner without having huge models. There's an impressive selection of subjects to choose from in this scale too.

As always manufactures display quality in the builds. Something for the rest of us to aspire to. Unusual subjects in such a small scale as well.
