As you can probably tell from my avatar, I'm a big fan of Hergé's Tintin books, and for a while have been planning to build some of the aircraft from the books. This is the first, Skut's Mosquito from 'The Red Sea Sharks'. Skut is a mercenary pilot flying the Mossies for the Khemedi AF, and wears an eye patch which I painstakingly painted on a 1/72 pilot figure. Markings are a mixture of Blue Rider and my own home-printed markings.

And here's the model Photoshopped into a frame of the comic...

Interesting and fun  build  Migrant.   I'm  not entirely  familiar with the Tintin comic, but the model looks like all your builds -meticulously put together and nicely  painted.  Models of vehicles featured in our favorite comics, movies, and television shows are fun to do and give us unique pieces to add to our personal collections.

Thanks for sharing  this one with us.

It is only through the patient teachings of my French friend that I have come to appreciate and enjoy Tintin. I know he would trade his first born (and probably his second if it came to that) for this model. Laughing That's a wonderful job Mike and I especially like your including it in the comic.

Thanks guys. Hergé included various aircraft in his books and for the most part are well researched and accurately drawn, although the gun configuration on the nose of this Mosquito is quite unique Wink

Yet another outstanding build Migrant and an unusual one.

I remember reading those comics way back, never thought I would see the Mossie in the flesh speak, very cool.
