This kit was a joy to build, with no vices other than the wing-to-fuselage fit which needed a touch of filler. The canopy was crystal-clear and thin; just as well, as the cockpit is well detailed straight out of the box. I finished the Jack using home-made decals depicting a captured example (Hasegawa subsequently released a boxing of the kit in these same markings). Painted using two shades of Alclad, with some panels darkened with Tamiya Smoke.

Hi Captain its good to be back, the site would not allow me to use my original call sign.
I had a few problems getting back but all is well now.

I certainly did miss seeing the stunning builds the guys put on here.

A big thank you to pmmaker for helping me back onto the forum.

Great model Migrant!

I built the little brother - Hasegawa's 1/72nd scale version in the same markings a couple of years ago. The pictures got lost in the switch over of forums.

I love the smooth metallic finish you got on this one. The multi-hued silvers just look so cool. You can almost feel like climbing in and taking this plane for a ride. These captured Japanese aircraft make for interesting diversions to the normal Japanese stuff we build.

Allan

BTW - I'm glad we were able to get you back on here Jim.

Thanks for the kind comments Smile Allan, I also have the Hasegawa 1/72 version of this kit which I may finish in the captured RAF/ATAIU scheme.
