Nice one, PMM, great subject. Does that kit have recessed panel lines?

It is a fairly old kit Migrant - at least 30+ years old! From the picture below, I would say the panel lines and rivet detailing are raised.

Looks like a really nice kit PMM. Quite the wingspan for a twin-engined a/c.

Added these to the stash recently, I'm in French mode at the moment :

French planes are unusual and cool. Nice pickups Mike.

The Japanese plane is one I built a long time ago. I've got a couple of Mike Marra kits I want to do first before I work on my new additions.

PostSubject: Curtiss Racer   Mon Jul 17 2017, 18:58

I purchased a 1:48 Curtis Racer, the 1925 Cup Race Winner as flown by Jimmy Doolittle. yesterday/ It is a colorful Bi-plane seaplane, so I decided to add it to my collection for $8.50.

The Caudrons are really nice Mike and I look forward to seeing what you do with them. However, I am really interested in the Farman.

I just received a 1/700 Aoshima ship model of the IJN ship Chiyoda, which is a seaplane carrier. Looks fun.

Thanks PW, the Farman is probably next up on my workbench. Just finishing off a Panzer 38(t) and I'll be ready to start.

Just got a couple of ship models in 1/700 scale. Both are Fujimi / Aoshima waterline models. One is of the IJN carrier, the Unryu, and the other is an Iowa class battleship, the USS Iowa. Wink

Also managed to snag a deal on a HM A-10 # HA1323.

I actually managed to add some cash to my modeling-fund by selling a few kits recently, using Kijiji, a local online classified listings site. I wasn't too hopeful as kits are quite specialized and they weren't mainstream subjects, but I've sold 6 so far with potential interest in one other. What I can't sell locally I'll put on eBay, but they become less attractive deals once Canada Post's exorbitant fees are added. Crying or Very sad
